The Most Anticipated Bollywood Movies in 2011

The year 2011 is certainly going to be one of the biggest, ever in terms of Bollywood releases. This year is going to see a whole load of big banner films releasing, making it an complete gala affair for all cine lovers’ right from the first month.

So, what are the new offerings on the film circuit waiting to thrill audiences this year? Let’s take a look:

The year is going to begin with a real life drama, recreated on screen almost realistically.

There is this movie titled No One Killed Jessica which releases in January is being touted as a great winner in terms of its content and great acting by the female protagonist played by Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan.

Then there is Dhobi Ghat, heading for by Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao which too promise to be a great entertainer for true movie lovers. The special attraction would surely be Aamir Khan in a special role.

Next in line in no particular order are movies like Saat Khoon Maaf, which has Priyanka Chopra playing a woman who marries seven times only for the sake of true love but fails miserably each time and so kills each of her seven husbands.

Ra.One, Don 2 these two movies will have Shahrukh Khan back again on the silver screen after a gap of almost a full year and both are certainly going to be great films.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a film set in Spain and has a deep travelling downward some of the most fascinating foreign locales with bull fights et al. The film has Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

Then there Ready, Bodyguard which will have the macho Salman Khan all geared up to entertain audiences with his enigmatic personality and charming smile.

Agent Vinod is a movie anticipated as it has Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. But in the film they are not paired opposite each other as Saif plays the role of a CID Agent and Kareena a spy.

Patiala House, Thank you are the two forthcoming releases of Akshay Kumar. These two movies are touted to be great blockbusters too.

John Abraham is all set to make a mark with Desi Boyz, Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar and Madhavan with Kangana Ranaut in Tanu Weds Manu are also some great films to be releasing.

SRK Beats Salman Khan in best Actor Title Race

So Much has been spoken and written about Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan’s antagonism though the actors have claimed more than once that All is well between them. Actually, they battled for the Best Actor of 2010 title, although it was in a poll. At the end, Shahrukh beat Salman for the greatest Actor of 2010 title by a whisker.

Shahrukh got 45.54% vote while Salman got 43.25% vote. They are followed Hrithik Roshan (4.72%) and Ranbir Kapoor (2.17%). Among the actresses, Kajol has been chosen Best Actress of 2010 with 49.7% of vote, Kangana Ranaut (9.55%), Aishwarya Rai (8.89%) and Priyanka Chopra (7.5%). In the Best Film of the year 2010 category, Dabangg separated itself with 62.67%, beating Once Upon A Time In Mumbai (13.55%), Raajneeti (9.62%),  and Peepli Live (5.63%).

Abhinav Kashyap, the man behind Dabangg, is voted the best director of the year, beating Prakash Jha, Milan Luthria, Bhansali and Anusha.

Ra.One First Look

Catch the first look of Shahrukh Khan’s much-awaited film Ra.One. The superstar will be playing a superhero.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Ra. one is produced under Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. According to Khan, “Ra.One” way “Random Access – Version 1.0. The flick also has Arjun Rampal essaying the role of SRK’s arch foe and Kareena Kapoor who plays SRK’s love interest.

The film has “wonderful” stunts from Shahrukh Khan. A special body suit was designed for SRK’s character.

SRK hopes to create the sci-fi history in Indian cinema. The film also has a song by Akon.

The film Will Most likely release by Diwali 2011.

Aamir Khan sets Twitter ablaze; all thanks to Big B

Mumbai: The wait is over for all the Aamir Khan fans out there, as the superstar has finally joined Twitter. Aamir, who was supposed to join the celeb-studded micro-blogging site on July 1, made a surprised entry on July 30.

The actor, who’s joined Twitter following much persuasion from Amitabh Bachchan, got a warm welcome from the megastar, as he tweeted, "Thank you Aamir... You give more due than I deserve ... Happy Tweeting ...."

On the other hand, filmmaker Karan Johar welcomed Aamir by posting:@aamir_khan on twitterverse people.

The perfectionist Khan opened his Twitter account on Wednesday by tweeting: ‘Testing. Aamir.’ And going by the actor’s popularity, it seems that he might soon create a record of sorts in the web world, as he already has about 42,533 followers on the website, according to reports.

A few days back, Aamir had met Amitabh and his actress-politician wife Jaya over a casual dinner in London and that’s when Amitabh started persuading him to join the site. He even taught him how to send Tweets through his phone .

Bollywood Star Katrina Kaif has now won the

coveted title of sexiest Asian woman in the world this year in a weekly based in the UK. Last year's topper, actress Bipasha Basu has now fallen to number two.Kaif landed on the top of a list of ten in a yearly roundup held by the Eastern Eye, a leading Anglo Asian publication.The judging panel included Brianna Ragel, editor of Asian Woman Magazine and FHM India's former editor Farhad Dadyburjor.According to Hamant Verma, Eastern Eye's editor, "Katrina Kaif's natural beauty and easy charm has enabled stock to rise in Bollywood. This has resulted in a number of lucrative offers, and appearances in films that proved to be box-office hits."Katrina, who grew up in the British capital, landed one notch above actress Bipasha Basu, last year's number one, and two above actress Priyanka Chopra, the winner in 2006. Third on the list was actress Kareena Kapoor.Newcomers to this year's list of the 'sexiest' included Pakistani star Mehvish Kayat at ninth place, Miss India Universe Simran Kaur Mundi in tenth, the former Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez in twelfth and South Indian actress Asin in twenty-second place.Aishwarya Rai, a former Miss World landed up in seventh place.Looks like Kat has no place to go but up!

According to sources, “Deepika Padukone had got the news from her sources about Ranbir’s growing comfortability on and off the sets of Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani during the two month shooting schedule in Ooty. Deepika got very insecure when her sources from the sets of the same film told about what was happening between the two in the Goa schedule.He further added, “It is learnt that during the Goa shoot both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif appeared more than comfortable with each other than before even in front of the unit members on the sets. Deepika Padukone went to Goa straightaway after hearing from her source.
